Welcome to Rosie Posies

I have a beautiful playroom in my home that is set up with a wide range of toys and loose parts for children to learn different skills and use their imaginations in a range of ways. A large focus on my practice is developing children's communication and language so books and stories are everywhere and children are taught the traditional nursery rhymes where they will join in with actions and begin to finish the ending. 

Routine is very important at Rosie Posies. The children have their meal times around the same time each day e.g. Breakfast at 8.30 and Lunch at 12 for example as well as times when we go outside. This helps the children to feel secure and understand whats coming next. We also include circle time daily with songs and stories although this will be structured depending on the group of children. 

We believe that a healthy diet is essential for a child's development, which is why we provide nutritious snacks that are both delicious and balanced. We ask that all packed lunches are nutritious and balanced. 

 I have a range of policies and procedures including Safeguarding and Sickness and Illness policy that you will have access too and need to be read when your child starts. 

Please remember, that if your child is poorly, they will need to stay at home to rest apart from the odd runny nose and tickly cough. 

 We are fortunate to have access to a secure app called Famly, which I use for many purposes including recording all care elements - nappy changes, sleep and meal times as well as sharing learning. It is also used to record accidents that have happened at the setting, which you can virtually sign as well as the medication forms. You can also share learning at home or any milestones your child has reached!
