Being in the heart of the countryside, knowledge and understanding of the world we live in is high on our agenda as well as developing creativity in children.
We are intentional about inclusion making sure that every child, including those with SEND experience success and belonging.
Curriculum Implementation
Our curriculum is broad and balanced and is delivered through play-based learning rooted in strong relationships. We plan from children’s next steps and interests as well as introducing children to new ideas/concepts that come up through the year.
We have completed the Hygge accreditation and understand how important it is for children to have a calm environment as well as deep rooted understanding of our natural envioroment.
We use;
- consistent routines and a rich environment that promote independence and curiosity
- high quality interactions – practitioners modelling language, extending thinking and scaffolding new skills
-Ongoing observation to reflect and shape next steps
-Strong partnerships with parents to build continuity between home and setting
Inclusion is embedded in everything we do and includes adapations; visual supports and multi sensory experiences.
